  • On the Importance of Simplicity

    All meaningful
    understanding
    resides in grand
    simplicity.
"I've often wondered how Einstein could...make such a simple assumption... the universe is so simple that we can analyze it in a one-dimensional differential equation--everything a function of time...Einstein...was awfully close to the truth--that's the way the universe looks."
    James Peebles [1935- ]

    On the Importance of Simplicity
    By definition:
    The theory of Reality,
    its principles,
    and its corollaries,
    must be simple.

    The most simple is the most complex;
thus . . . the most complex must be
    the most simple.

    Therefore, by definition:
    Simply . . .
The simplest is the most complex.
The discipline of Physics is concerned with describing matter, energy, their etiology, and interactions; such that: the environment, which is an anthropic perception, is better understood.

This understanding of the environment has two salient benefits: 1.) A strong, natural craving for knowledge is satisfied; and, 2.) Insight is provided for the better control of said environment.
Existing within an environment that you do not understand can be hazardous to your well-being
    . . . and everyone else's.
The Pomo era of physics, which is: the period from approximately Einstein's death, continuing through the Hubble Space Telescope observations, until the arrival of an anticipated "new physics," has been an era of startling successes that have led to many life-style and environmental changes.

Undoubtedly, for many persons, there is now great mastery of our environment; more so, during this Pomo era, than at any other time in history. Yet, contrary to logic, fundamentalism of every stripe, religious and secular, has flourished to the detriment of almost everyone. The fault, in no small part, is that of the Pomo, theoretical physics’ elitists that are unable to lift the veil of mysticism because they have gotten entangled with complexity and lost site of simplicity.

The realm in which we live is the most complex form of evolution that is known. Toward the other direction of evolution, must lie that which is less complex. In fact, if the simplest can be found; and, its etiology throughout evolution to humans rationally established; then, that rationalization would be the Theory of Everything (TOE).

The simplicity of Pulsoid Theory (PT) is linked to TOE by the concept of (CASA), which is an acronym for Complex, Analog, Self-Adjustment; CASA is currently, for most physicists, beyond the discipline of Physics. However, understanding CASA is a necessity for understanding our environment, which is the goal of Physics. Understanding our environment means separating logical truths from superstition, myth, and the complexity and turbulence that science, theology, and philosophy have promulgated.

TOE is the culmination of Science, Theology, and Philosophy (STP), which are disciplines that rather than continuing to separate, belong united as One. This unity is referred to as Philogic, the discipline that overarches all others.

Thus, the rationalization should start at the beginning: that which is simplest; and, then, build to man’s consciousness; which is . . . all sensory perception, and its manipulation.

The simplest common denominator of Reality is motion.

    the principle of the

    beautiful and simple.

Re: On the Importance of Simplicity

Certainly a discussion on simplicity reveals that a basic
truth exits. The universe is moving farther apart and is accelerating,
(not decelerating) because something is putting energy INTO this
situation. Dark matter? Maybe. Hubble space telescope seems to
be saying this to our scientists. One more nail in the coffin of big
bang thinking. Even Einstein himself was really opposed to this
way of thought. He knew instinctively that if there was a "gravity"
force, there was another opposing force that kept "gravity" from
    taking over and collapsing everything.

Another couple of web-sites: Victor Schauberger a genius with innovative
ideas about energy; and, for a bit of nostalgia www.catskillarchive.com.

The Standard Model of theoretical physics is illogical.

The basic truth is that all is created from the most simplistic. That is: from a single phenomenon all that exists eventually evolves.

The Big Bang (BB), which is a metaphysical concept, would qualify as "putting energy INTO" the Universe. However, the BB banged only once, which does not account for the observed (Hubble Space Telescope HST) acceleration of galactic recession. For the phenomenon of galactic acceleration to occur, their must be, at minimum, continuous/perpetual energy input into the Universe.

In a sense, yes. However that's like saying "gravity" is responsible for cosmic motion, which is meaningless unless you can define "gravity," which is a metaphysical concept that purportedly works in the voodoo fashion of attraction-at-a-distance.

Every engineer (unlike theoretical physicists) is aware that a force must act directly upon an object.

Thus, Dark Matter (DM) is meaningless unless defined, which no one has ever been able to do without incorporating metaphysical aspects of the Standard Model of physics.

Yes, the HST observations that indicated acceleration should end all discussion, among reasonable persons, as to the theory of a BB. In no way do I consider theoretical physicists that are dependent upon Standard Model logic to be . . . reasonable.

Such may be so; however, when Einstein proposed such a force he proposed a constant force; and, later stated it was his biggest blunder. Einstein and the theory of general relativity (GR) do nothing to correctly explain the phenomenon of "gravity," which is a secondary, non-intuitive force that is more as described by Richard P. Feynman: to paraphrase, "illogical and not capable of ever being logically defined."

It must be remembered that GR, as one of the most important concepts of modern theoretical physics to explain the motion of the Cosmos, was developed by a man that didn't even realize the galaxies were receding . . . not to mention accelerating with said recession.
